Your Holiday Grooming Checklist

When it comes to the ultimate staycation, no trip to the seaside is complete without our best four-legged friends! Here at Pets & Friends we know that a lot of dogs love nothing more than rolling around in wet sand, exploring the shallows and digging up some interesting looking sandcastles, so we’ve put together some quick tips on keep your dog looking and feeling great whilst you’re on holiday!

• Always remember your brushes! Slicker brushes and de-shedding tools can help keep your dog’s coat healthy whilst you’re away.
• Groom before you go! If your dog’s grooming schedule allows, book them in before you head off so their coat, skin and nails are holiday ready.
• If your dog is a beach babe, brush them before and after they play in the sand and sea to help avoid coat matting.
• Coat conditioning spray will save you hassle! As well as a good brush, treating their coat to a good condition will help avoid matting and stop it from drying out too much.
• Waterless shampoo and doggy wipes are also handy to have on hand in the car or backpack for any messy incidents!
